Description
The Kalevala Gin is a slightly sweet Gin with a spicy, resinous juniper and a pleasantly fiery Note of ginger on the finish.
Organic raspberry leaves, cardamom, mint, rosemary and, of course, Juniper were used for this Gin. Ginger and juniper form the main components. In order to extract the aromas from the ingredients, some Botanicals were macerated in alcohol before the distillation took place. Other Botanicals, such as the raspberry leaves, were placed in the upper part of the cauldron so that they could be penetrated by the rising alcohol vapors and thereby the Aroma was passed on.
