In 1862, the brothers August-Christoph and Gustav Meukov, under the guidance of Alexander II, founded the Meukow Cognac House, which quickly gained a good reputation. Trade relations with Russia and Scandinavia are particularly strong. After the 1st world war, the company passed into the ownership of the shepherd family, from this time Meukov cognac began to be exported around the world. In the mid-twentieth century, Meukow became the official supplier of the White house and the House of lords. In 1979, production was purchased by Michael cost, whose son, Philip cost, is the current head of the company. For the production of cognac, the best spirits from all six subregions located around the city of Cognac are used, so the drink acquires a perfect balance and harmony. Wine from its own vineyards is distilled in two alambics, cognac aging takes place in Limousin oak barrels. The advantage is given to the uni Blanc grape variety. Meukow cognac is the embodiment of harmony and high quality, it is poured into elegant bottles with the image of a Panther, symbolizing the qualities inherent in Meukow cognac — strength and softness.
